Cave Shader reaction with character position
Scenery :
The scenery's concept is a collaboration between Jean Paul Lespagnard, Gilles Jobin and myself.
I created the scenery including props, shaders, merged them and made the FX and Lighting on Unity engine. Then I optimized everything for the VR experience.
In addition, I created some complex shaders using the character's position or I used only 1 diffuse and 1 MRO texture for the entire city and some procedural systems using masks like the mountain.
The real difficulties for this scenery scene were customising and changing everything as fast as possible. As an example, I had to change the desert's look 3 times and for the garden I had to make 3 different set dressings to have it fit with the animation. I had to plan my creation as 'changeable' from the very beginning at every moment of the production (Colors, textures,mesh,...)
